You can have your Federal and State Tax Refunds direct deposited to your RushCard for FREE and receive your refund up to a month faster than traditional refunds.

You can now set up Direct Deposit on your RushCard without having to wait for your card to arrive in the mail. Use your Deposit ID number to deposit your payroll, tax refund or government benefits check automatically to your card as soon as your application is approved!

You will be issued a Deposit ID number as soon as your application is approved. You can also call 1-866-RUSHCARD, email agent@rushcard.com or if you are enrolled in Rush Text Alerts, text "DD" to 697874 (MYRUSH) to get your Deposit ID number.

To have your tax refund deposited directly to your RushCard include the following information on your tax return (refund direct deposits MUST be in the name of the cardholder to be accepted):

You can enter this information whether you are filing online, by mail, or through your local tax preparer.

If you receive federal benefits, you can have them directly deposited to your RushCard each payday. To enroll your federal benefits in Direct Deposit, simply log in to your online account and go to My Money/Add Money/Federal Benefits. Once on the Federal Benefits tab, find your benefit in the list, then click ‘Enroll in Direct Deposit’. We’ll do the rest!

If you are already enrolled in Direct Deposit, you do not need to take any further action, please disregard the Deposit ID number.

How Does It Work?

It's simple! Add cash to your RushCard in Just a few steps.

1.   Pick up a MoneyPak from the Prepaid Product Section or Green Dot Display of a retailer near you.

2.   Purchase the MoneyPak at the register with cash for the amount you wish to load. A service fee of up to $4.95 will be added to your purchase.

3.   Login to your online account to complete your reload using the MoneyPak number found on the back of your MoneyPak.

Transferring funds from your PayPal account to your RushCard is easy and FREE. You must set up and confirm your RushCard in order to transfer funds.

To set up your RushCard, login to your PayPal account and select "Withdraw" from the My Account tab. Click "Withdraw funds to your bank account" and select “Add Bank Account.”

Enter the following information:

Account Type:Checking

Routing Number:021409169

Account Number:Your 16-digit card number or Deposit ID Number

PayPal will make 2 small deposits (less than $1.00 USD) to your RushCard within 2-3 business days. Once these deposits have been made, login to your PayPal account and click Confirm Bank Account from your Account Overview and enter the 2 amounts.

To transfer funds, login to your PayPal account and select "Withdraw" from the My Account tab. Click "Withdraw funds to your bank account."

Enter the amount you want to transfer to your RushCard, select "JP Morgan Chase Checking” from the dropdown, and click "Continue".

Click "Submit" to confirm the transfer. Transfers MUST be in the name of the cardholder and can take 3-4 business days to complete.

Add money to your RushCard for FREE by mailing a check or money order to the payment address below. All checks undergo a verification hold of up to 10 days from the time we receive your check before the funds will be posted to your account.

We can only accept funds issued in U.S. Dollars (no international money orders or checks) and checks or money orders must be equal to or less than $1,000*.

Make the check or money order payable to RushCard or to yourself, and remember to include your 16-digit account number on the front of the check.

If your financial institution offers electronic bill pay service, you can transfer money from your bank account to your RushCard by setting up RushCard as an online payee. Your financial institution will create a paper check and mail it to us for deposit. All checks undergo a verification hold of up to 10 days from the time we receive your check before the funds will be posted to you account.
